Football festive was back with an almighty bang in 2022!!!!

After a couple of years without our beloved Festival of Football, we as a committee wanted the 2022 tournament to be the best we've ever seen and boy it didn't disappoint......
After several months of planning, agreements and disagreements, changes, last minute hurdles and moments of praying to the gods, we finally got there.
We used new technologies for payments & fixtures, we had new team managers who had never experienced the time and effort it needs to put on this event, so it was a challenge, which the whole club hit head on and pulled together to give these, young boys, and girls the event they deserve.
In total we had 242 teams attend the festival, the most we've ever seen at a DTYFC tournament, with teams representing Oxfordshire, Berkshire, Hampshire, Wiltshire, and the London Borough's!! a fantastic range of teams with all levels of ability.
We'd like to personally thank all the teams who visited, and we hope all enjoyed their experiences whilst being here.
It was fantastic to see the amount of girl’s teams that are now representing the club and Town as a whole, and the standard of football being played was top drawer! DTYFC are very proud of our girls’ teams, and we are constantly promoting the development of further teams in the future seasons.
We would also like to reach and give a huge thanks to the council for supporting us this year, as the challenges we faced were all worrying. As you all know, the pavilion at Edmonds Park was demolished due to the sheer age and becoming dangerous for our teams to use. Not only this but the services we used from here including electric power and water, all of which had to be sorted. The council allowed us to tap into these facilities ensuring we had what we needed to ensure the weekend went as planned and without any disturbances, all of which was assisted by our own managers, working over and above their commitment to their teams, we cannot thank these lads enough for what they done.
The weekend was made better by the fact we had full sunshine, bringing smiles, laughter, and fun....... as well as the football being played.

So here are a range of photographs for you to enjoy and remind everyone of what a terrific weekend it was. Roll on 2023, when we can do it all over again.
Thank you, The Committee.
